Maureen Denise McCormick was born on August 5 1956 at Woodland Hills California the youngest and only daughter of Richard and Irene McCormick. Her father worked as a school teacher and her mother as an at-home mom. She has three older brothers: Michael Dennis and Kevin. Beginning at a very early stage of life, McCormick enjoyed singing as well as dance. She would also perform puppet shows for the neighborhood children. At the age of six, McCormick older, she was crowned the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency called and asked her whether she would like to enter the show business. Her first major role came in 1964 where she was featured in a TV commercial for Mattels baby doll, Baby Pattaburp. She did another commercial in the year 1964 for the Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon she was given the main character in the play Wind It up and It is Broken, a show in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned to play the youngest daughter of the three towheaded girls on The Brady Bunch. The show featured Florence Henderson, Robert Reed and a blended family. The show lasted five years. McCormick's autobiography Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was released in the year 2008. In it she revealed the fact that McCormick almost lost her virginity on the stage of the show during the fifth season, when she was a victim to Barry Williams. She was 16 years old when she was in the scene; he was 19. The incident would have happened according to her. But, the time for our marriage was not the right one.
