
Jennifer was always dreaming of becoming an multi-tasking superstar. In her youth she was a fan of a range of musical styles, including Afro-Caribbean rhythms like salsa, merengue and the bachata as well as mainstream music like pop, hip-hop and R&B. Music was her passion, but she was fascinated by the movie industry. The most influential film she was influenced by was the Rita Moreno musical, West Side Story (1961). At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Jennifer wasn't just a talented entertainer. She also attended 8 years in a Catholic primary school, called Holy Family. Jennifer then graduated after four years from Preston High School. Jennifer was an accomplished athlete who competed in track and fields and tennis at school , was also an outstanding student. The Castle Hill neighbourhood was her home for most of her life. Jennifer moved out of the house when she was 18 , and moved in with her parents. In the meantime, Lopez worked at a legal firm. She also took dancing jobs at night.
