Maureen Denise McCormick was born on August 5 1956 at Woodland Hills California the youngest and only daughter of Richard and Irene McCormick. Her father worked as a school teacher and her mother as an at-home mom. She has three older brothers: Michael Dennis and Kevin. Beginning at a very early stage of life, McCormick enjoyed singing as well as dance. She would also perform puppet shows for the neighborhood children. At the age of six, McCormick older, she was crowned the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency called and asked her whether she would like to enter the show business. Her first major role came in 1964 where she was featured in a TV commercial for Mattels baby doll, Baby Pattaburp. She did another commercial in the year 1964 for the Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon she was given the main character in the play Wind It up and It is Broken, a show in the La Jolla Playhouse.
